The standard concerning best practice defined by the FEA (European Aerosols Federation), applicable to aerosol packaging, stipulates a mandatory minimum shelf life of two years. It does not, however, establish the possibility of extending this period. Manufacturers therefore naturally limit their shelf life to two years. iBiotec performs extended ageing tests in an autoclave at 50°C for all of its products, to check that the product characteristics and the internal condition of the aerosol body and valve are maintained. In addition, we have standardised the use of aerosol cans with a pressure resistance which exceeds the regulatory requirements. |
ODP Ozone Depletion Potential. Potential of a gas to deplete the ozone layer. Gasses can deplete the ozone layer in the upper atmosphere. CFC and HCFC gasses, as well as brominated compounds, have a high ODP, and thus are not used by iBiotec. 0 ODP |

The EU 517/2014 regulation, dated 16 April 2014, relating to fluorinated greenhouse gases (F-Gas Directive) will prohibit the use and release into the atmosphere of gases with global warming potential (GWP) that exceeds 150. This ban will be effective as of 1 January 2018. Propellant-based aerosols or compounds used as solvents, such as HFC 134a or HFC 365 Mfc mixed with 227 EA, will therefore be prohibited. A GWP of zero thus guarantees the total absence of greenhouse effect fluorinated compounds. 0 GWP |

Logo and trademark registered by Ademe. The carbon balance is the total of the emissions throughout the product production cycle before its market launch, or the total of direct or indirect emissions from an activity or site. In particular, it must allow for the emissions from any human resources involved in collection, trituration, esterification, manufacture, transportation, and waste management. It requires in-depth knowledge of product life cycles according to ISO 14040. The balance is drawn up according to ISO 14064, already in force. CARBON BALANCE of the activities of the manufacturing site at Saint Rémy de Provence: 12.74 kg carbon equivalent / tonne. |

Primary biodegradability established according to CEC L 33 T 82. Ready biodegradability established according to OECD 301 A, ISO 7827. Ultimate biodegradability established according to OECD 310 C MITI (modified). Water hazard class established according to the WGK list, a German reference. Bioaccumulation, n-octanol-water partition coefficient (log KOW) established according to OECD 107. |

The agro-sourced solvents and lubricants come from the timber/cereal sector or from the oilseed industry. IBiotec guarantees the use of saturated raw materials, free of substances hazardous to man and the environment. Certain solvents, so-called agrosolvants, green solvents or bio-solvents, have been shown to be toxic to man and the environment. We guarantee zero residual methanol content, derived from transesterification processes. |
